Summary

Join our team as a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program Compliance Supervisor and play a key role in strengthening food safety and quality excellence across our operations. In this role, you will lead efforts to evaluate and reinforce compliance with food safety and quality programs, helping ensure policies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards are consistently met. You will partner closely with plant and FSQA teams to drive continuous improvement, support accurate documentation and recordkeeping, and uphold a culture of accountability, integrity, and food safety leadership. 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine in plant audit of facility’s compliance to the Perdue FSQA Policies. 
  • Assures that all certification programs; BRC, Process Verified, Organic, Gluten Free, GAP etc. are audited at the plant level to assure that the location meets all clauses and requirements for continued certification. To include all in plant generated documentation. Participate in all external audits with certification bodies and government agencies. 
  • Generate audit result reports with deficiencies and presents to plant operations and FSQA managers. Obtain corrective action plans for deficient areas to include assigned person, dates of completion and conduct verification of completed items at the specified date. 
  • Assure that plant programs for all certification bodies are reviewed and updated at the specified frequency. Update HACCP plans after re-assessments are completed with the FSQA Manager. 
  • Utilize auditing software where applicable for audit instruments and corrective action reporting and development of new audit instruments. 
  • Assure that regulatory and certification documents or electronic records are accurate and accessible upon request by regulatory agency or certification body. Notify Plant Operations and FSQA Management for corrective actions when records are incomplete, inaccurate or so not meet program or regulatory requirements. Assure that records maintenance associates are properly trained and complete all job tasks as assigned. 
  • Fill in for FSQA supervisors and Manager in the event they are absent from the facility. 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree. 
  • 5 years processing plant FSQA experience. 
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft office products and other web-based software applications. 
  • HACCP certification, Internal Auditor certification. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in food safety, quality, or related field. 
  • Harvest plant experience preferred depending on location. 
  • Experienced with FSQA records management and auditing software. 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.   
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.  
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 

When in a plant environment:  

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. 
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.  
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. 
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
