Summary

The Demand Planner plays a critical role in shaping business performance through accurate, insight-driven forecasting.  This position owns the development and maintenance of a 24-month consensus forecast in Blue Yonder for assigned customers and business channels, leveraging statistical models, market intelligence, and cross-functional input. Partnering closely with Sales and Sales Planning teams, the Demand Planner leads Key Account Review meetings, identifies forecast drivers and risk, and facilitates data-driven decision making. By aligning stakeholders around a consensus demand plan, this role enhances forecast accuracy, supports customer service excellence, and enables the business to proactively achieve growth and operational objectives.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and refine short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, program inputs, statistical methods, and cross-functional consensus; load and manage forecasts directly in Blue Yonder.

• Own and maintain critical master data and planning parameters to ensure clean ERP runs and reliable planning outputs.
• Monitor and report key metrics including forecast accuracy, bias, and demand variability; drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement actions.

• Lead monthly Key Account Review meeting with Sales and Sales Planning for assigned customers or channels.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, phase-outs, and program demand fluctuations by updating forecasts and planning parameters in a timely manner.

• Serve as the primary demand-side partner to Supply Planning, clearly communicating changes in outlook that affect production and purchasing decisions.
• Actively participate in the demand review portion of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning stakeholders on a consensus demand plan.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify demand risks and opportunities

• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and best-practice adoption that strengthen overall planning effectiveness.
• Partner with Sales Planning, Sales and Marketing to size promotions, new item launches, and incorporate lift or impact into the forecast.

Minimum Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field. 

• 5-7 years of industry experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, manage competing priorities, and communicate planning insights clearly.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment with a focus on data accuracy and process discipline.

Preferred Education and Experience 

• Planning/Supply Chain experience
• Familiarity with S&OP / SIOP / IBP processes and demand consensus methodologies
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft0020Office and planning systems such as Blue Yonder, o9, SAP or similar
• Experience with Power BI including report writing
